The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University (DMU) announces an important research: a new scientific article authored by Dr. Hanan S. Anbar, Associate Dean and Research Chair, in collaboration with undergraduate pharmacy students, has been accepted and published in Life Sciences — an internationally peer-reviewed Elsevier journal ranked among the top 2% of journals worldwide in its field.
Life Sciences is a Q1-ranked publication with an impact factor exceeding 5.0, indexed in major global databases including Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science. It stands as one of the most prestigious platforms for pharmacological and biomedical research, making this publication a landmark achievement for the College and for DMU as a whole.
What makes this accomplishment particularly noteworthy is the active contribution of undergraduate pharmacy students as co-authors. Their involvement in conducting original research, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to the scientific writing process reflects the College’s unwavering commitment to embedding research skills into undergraduate education from the earliest stages of professional training.
This achievement is fully aligned with DMU’s strategic vision of cultivating a research-driven academic environment where students are not merely passive learners, but active contributors to the global body of scientific knowledge.
