The College of Medicine at Dubai Medical University (DMU) participated in the UAE National Congress on NCDs 2026 – From Data to Action, held on 22–23 September 2026 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

The congress brought together healthcare professionals, academics, researchers, and experts to explore current approaches to the prevention, early detection, management, and long-term care of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

The scientific program addressed a wide range of topics relevant to contemporary medical education and practice, including the UAE’s national NCD prevention strategy, diabetes and obesity, cardiovascular health, tobacco prevention, precision screening, genomics, mental health, physical activity, health literacy, patient-reported outcomes, and healthy ageing.
Further sessions explored AI and data-driven approaches to NCD prevention, early risk identification, digital health technologies, multi-omics, longevity, and the integration of prevention and screening into clinical care pathways.

The participation of College of Medicine students and faculty provided a valuable opportunity to engage with current developments in NCD prevention and management, exchange knowledge with professionals from across the healthcare sector, and strengthen the connection between medical education, research, and evolving healthcare priorities in the UAE.
