29 June, 2026, The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University (DMU) conducted a Faculty Development Seminar titled “Designing Medication Safety as a System” on 29 June 2026.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Rabih Dabliz, Founder and CEO of AmanViva Consulting, former Senior Manager for Quality and Medication Safety at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Fellow of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). He shared valuable insights into developing a systems-based approach to medication safety, emphasizing the role of Medication Safety Officers, medication safety governance, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement.

To enhance the learning experience, the seminar included selected videos of real-life medication safety incidents, which stimulated engaging discussions among faculty members on patient safety and best practices in medication use.
