September 13 – 2026, Dr. Bassam Atallah, Associate Dean – Clinical Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, Dubai Medical University, participated in the First Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Cardiovascular Updates Conference, held at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi on September 12–13, 2026.

Dr. Atallah contributed to the conference through serving as one of the chairs of the “Updates in Special Populations” session. The session featured presentations addressing contemporary management approaches for complex cardiovascular conditions, including transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CM), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), the cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome, and perioperative assessment of complex cardiac patients.

The conference brought together leading cardiovascular specialists to discuss the latest developments in cardiovascular disease management, with a focus on emerging evidence, practice-changing updates, and contemporary therapeutic approaches.
