September 13, 2026 – Dubai Medical University (DMU) faculty members Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Naglaa Saad, Assistant Dean, Quality & Accreditation and Head of the Integrative Medicine Department, participated in the 2^nd Emirates Pharmacy Society Conference 2026.

The conference, held under the theme “The Spectrum of Pharmacy,” brought together leading pharmacy and healthcare professionals to explore emerging trends and the evolving contribution of the pharmacy profession to healthcare. 

Prof. Sherief Khalifa served as Chairperson of the session focusing on the evolving role of pharmacists in supporting the UAE’s vision for longevity and delivered the opening presentation. Dr. Naglaa Saad contributed as a speaker with a presentation titled “Beyond Treatment: The Pharmacist’s Role in Longevity & Preventive Medicine,” highlighting the expanding role of pharmacists in preventive healthcare and longevity-focused approaches. 

Prof. Khalifa also participated in the conference mentor hub providing junior pharmacy professionals advice and guidance regarding career advancement.

The participation reflects Dubai Medical University’s continued engagement with the UAE’s evolving healthcare landscape and its commitment to academic leadership, innovation, preventive healthcare, and the advancement of pharmacy practice.
