8 June 2026, The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University (DMU) conducted a Faculty Development Session titled “Artificial Intelligence Across the Drug Discovery Pipeline: From Molecule to Market” on 8 June 2026.
The session was delivered by Dr. Zahraa Khalifa, Assistant Professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department, who provided an insightful overview of the transformative role of artificial intelligence throughout the drug discovery and development pipeline. The presentation explored AI applications in target identification, virtual screening, de novo drug design, ADMET prediction, formulation development, process optimization, clinical trials, and personalized medicine.
Faculty members actively engaged in discussions on the opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations associated with integrating AI into pharmaceutical research and education.
