Dubai Medical University (DMU) celebrated World Anesthesia Day with an engaging and educational event organized by the Anesthesia Hive in collaboration with the DMU Deanship of Student Affairs.

The celebration featured Dr. Esam Seddik, Consultant Anesthesiologist at Rashid Hospital, as the guest speaker, who shared valuable insights into the evolving field of anesthesia and its critical role in modern medicine.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of anesthesia in medical practice, foster awareness, curiosity, and collaboration among students, and inspire greater appreciation for the field of anesthesia and perioperative medicine.

Through interactive and educational activities—including presentations, a guest lecture, a simulation zone, and a poster competition—students gained practical knowledge, explored real-world applications of anesthesia, and demonstrated their creativity and research skills.

The presence of Dr. Esam Seddik added exceptional value to the event, motivating students and deepening their understanding of the anesthesiology profession.
