MGH 110 – Leadership & Change (2 CH)

This course introduces leadership theories and change management approaches relevant to health systems and public health organizations. It explores leadership styles, organizational transformation, systems thinking, and stakeholder engagement in complex health environments. Students will develop practical leadership skills to guide health sector reforms, manage multidisciplinary teams, and lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving health system performance and population health outcomes.

MGH 111 – Governance & Performance (3 CH)

This course examines governance frameworks, accountability mechanisms, and performance management systems within healthcare and public health organizations. Topics include regulatory environments, quality improvement, risk management, transparency, and organizational performance monitoring. Through case studies and applied exercises, students will analyze governance challenges and design strategies to strengthen institutional effectiveness and public trust in health systems.

MGH 112 – Global Health Systems (2 CH)

This course provides an overview of global health systems, including their structures, financing models, and service delivery mechanisms. Students will explore comparative health system analysis, health equity, social determinants of health, and global health governance. The course emphasizes the use of epidemiological and economic evidence to understand system performance and to identify opportunities for strengthening health systems across diverse contexts.

MGH 113 – Policy & Global Health Diplomacy (3 CH)

This course focuses on health policy development and global health diplomacy in an increasingly interconnected world. Students will examine policy formulation processes, political economy, ethical considerations, and international negotiations that shape health policies at national and global levels. The course develops competencies in policy analysis, advocacy, and diplomacy to support effective engagement with international organizations, governments, and global health stakeholders.

MGH 120 – Global Health Security, Humanitarian Systems & IHR (3 CH)

This course explores global health security frameworks and the coordination mechanisms used in humanitarian and emergency settings. Students will examine international health regulations (IHR), pandemic preparedness, humanitarian response systems, and the roles of global actors such as WHO and UN agencies. The course emphasizes risk assessment, coordination across sectors, and strategic planning to strengthen preparedness and response to health emergencies.

MGH 121 – Disaster Medicine & Emergency Preparedness (2 CH)

This course examines the principles and practices of disaster medicine and emergency preparedness. Students will learn about disaster risk reduction, emergency health systems, crisis management, and health service continuity during disasters and conflicts. Practical exercises and scenario-based simulations will help students develop competencies in planning, coordination, and rapid response to health emergencies and disasters.

MGH 122 – Digital & AI-Enabled Public Health Systems (3 CH)

This course explores how digital technologies and artificial intelligence are transforming public health systems. Topics include digital disease surveillance, health information systems, data analytics, interoperability, and digital health infrastructure. Students will evaluate how digital tools can improve health system efficiency, population health monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making in public health practice.

MGH 123 – AI Ethics, Governance & Cyber Resilience in Health (2 CH)

This course examines ethical, regulatory, and cybersecurity considerations related to the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in healthcare and public health. Students will explore issues such as algorithmic bias, data privacy, digital governance frameworks, cyber resilience, and risk management. The course prepares students to design and implement digital health solutions that are safe, equitable, and aligned with regulatory standards.

MGH 210 – Implementation Science, Advanced Epidemiology & Systems Improvement (3 CH)

This course focuses on the application of implementation science and advanced epidemiological methods to improve health systems and public health programs. Students will explore strategies for translating research evidence into policy and practice, evaluating program effectiveness, and improving health service delivery through systems-based approaches.

MGH 211 – Digital Interoperability, Health Information Exchange & Global Health Leadership (3 CH)

This course examines digital interoperability standards and health information exchange systems that enable integrated healthcare and public health data sharing. Students will learn about health data governance, interoperability frameworks, and global digital health strategies. The course also explores leadership challenges associated with large-scale digital health transformation initiatives.

 Practical Experience and Research



MGH 212 – Applied Internship in AI & Digital Public Health Leadership (1 CH)

The internship provides students with practical experience in real-world public health and digital health environments. Students will work with healthcare organizations, government agencies, or international partners on projects related to digital health systems, disease surveillance, health data governance, AI applications in public health, or health system resilience. The internship emphasizes applied leadership, problem-solving, and integration of knowledge gained throughout the program.

MGH 213 – Thesis (6 CH)

The thesis is an independent research project that allows students to investigate a complex public health issue related to global health systems, health policy, humanitarian health response, or digital public health innovation. Under faculty supervision, students will design a research proposal, conduct data collection and analysis, and produce a scholarly thesis that contributes evidence-based insights to public health practice and policy.
