The Career Guidance Division at DMU supports students and graduates across Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Biomedical Sciences in identifying and achieving their career goals. Our mission is to enhance professional readiness and competitiveness in the healthcare sector by providing tailored guidance, resources, and opportunities.

We help students explore diverse career options, develop essential competencies, and set goals aligned with their aspirations. Through networking events, workshops, and alumni engagement, students gain valuable insights into evolving healthcare trends and the wide range of career pathways available within and beyond clinical practice. Alumni also play an active role in mentoring, sharing experiences, and contributing to DMU’s efforts to prepare future-ready healthcare professionals.

Our services include:

• Career advising sessions to set personal and professional goals.
• Guidance on internship, residency, and training requirements tailored to Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Biomedical Sciences.
• Support with postgraduate training and employment documents (e.g., residency match, fellowship, or specialist licensing).
• Information on local, regional, and international specialization opportunities across healthcare disciplines.
• Advising on licensing and equivalency procedures in the UAE and abroad.
• Preparatory sessions for international licensing exams, including:
  • Medicine: USMLE, UK Medical Licensing Assessment (UKMLA / MLA), AMC, MCCQE
  • Pharmacy: NAPLEX, PEBC
  • Nursing: NCLEX-RN, HAAD, DHA, MOH
  • Biomedical Sciences: ASCP, IBMS, local equivalency exams
• Sharing clinical elective, placement, and observership opportunities with application guidance.
• Workshops and forums on diverse career pathways in healthcare, academia, research, and industry.
• Support in CV/resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Participation in external career conferences and networking events.
• Organization of career fairs and on-campus recruitment events.
