DMU Advances Global AI Leadership at ISDIA 2025 and FICTA 2025

Global Recognition for AI Leadership
Dubai Medical University (DMU) continues to gain international recognition for its contributions to artificial intelligence and healthcare innovation. Dr. Shifan Khanday, Acting Associate Dean of Research and Head of the AI & Smart Education Unit, has notably represented DMU at two leading global AI conferences.

Achievement at ISDIA 2025
At the 9th International Conference on Information System Design and Intelligent Applications (ISDIA 2025) in Dubai, Dr. Shifan received the Best Oral Presentation Award for her talk on ethical AI integration in healthcare. This recognition led to an invitation to present at another top-tier AI conference.

Presentation at FICTA 2025, London
Dr. Shifan later presented her research at the 13th International Conference on Frontiers of Intelligent Computing: Theory and Applications (FICTA 2025), held in London. Her talk, titled “Privacy and Ethics in Healthcare AI: A Review of Current Challenges and a Policy Driven Framework for Responsible Innovation”, addressed critical issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and regulatory challenges. The research was well-received and has been accepted for publication by Springer.
