
The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University successfully concluded the Preceptor Certificate Program with its capstone session on 24 January 2026, marking the completion of a five-month initiative dedicated to advancing excellence in experiential pharmacy education.
The College extends its sincere appreciation to Prof. Sherif Khalifa for his founding vision of the program, and to Prof. Amjad Qandil, Acting Director of the Commission for Academic Accreditation, for his support. The program was delivered in collaboration with and endorsed by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), reinforcing its national and international significance.
Special thanks are extended to Dr. Craig D. Cox, Dr. Bassam Atallah, and Dr. Mariam Diab for their leadership and academic contributions to the design and delivery of the program. The College also thanks the distinguished national and international speakers — Angela Brownfield, Sara Trovinger, Lina Wahba, Lisa Brennan, Kimberly Stultz, Ahmad El Ouweni, Kate Newman, Jane Shtaynberg, Ziad Sadik, Kaitlin Alexander, Drew Ramirez, Rama Nasef, Suzanne Larson, Christina Mnatzaganian, and Anas Hanini — whose expertise enriched this initiative.
Ending its second consecutive year, the Preceptor Certificate Program highlights the College of Pharmacy’s long-term commitment to high-quality clinical education and the professional development of pharmacy preceptors.
