The College of Nursing at Dubai Medical University proudly recognizes Dr. Abdullah Alshammari,for serving as an External Examiner for a PhD thesis defense at the University of Pécs in Hungary.

Dr. Alshammari’s selection for this distinguished academic role reflects his recognized expertise in community and mental health nursing, as well as his active contribution to doctoral education, research quality, and international academic scholarship. As an External Examiner, he provided an independent and rigorous evaluation of the doctoral research, assessed its scientific quality and contribution to knowledge, and contributed expert insights during the scholarly discussion and examination process.

The thesis, entitled “Well-being, Life Satisfaction, and Optimal Living Profile: Cross-Cultural Studies Among Hungarian and Jordanian University Students,” examined well-being and life satisfaction across different cultural contexts. The research addresses an important and timely area with significant relevance to mental health, student well-being, quality of life, and higher education.

Through his participation in the public defense, Dr. Alshammari contributed to a high-level international academic exchange and supported the advancement of cross-cultural research in health and well-being. His role also strengthened scholarly connections between Dubai Medical University and the international academic community.
