Dr. Shifan Khanday ,Associate Dean of Research; represented the College of Medicine, Dubai Medical University, at commemorative events in Edinburgh, Scotland, in July 2026 celebrating 300 years of Edinburgh Medical School.

The program featured the Dolly@30 celebration, marking three decades since the birth of Dolly the sheep—the world’s first mammal cloned from an adult somatic cell. During her visit to the Roslin Institute, Dr. Khanday attended expert lectures highlighting Dolly’s remarkable scientific legacy and the continuing impact of pioneering research in genetics, biotechnology and regenerative medicine. The Event was in honor of Prof. Bruce Whitlaw and team involved in Dolly project at Roselin Institute.

Dubai Medical University’s participation provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the international academic and scientific community and explore future developments in medical education, healthcare innovation and interdisciplinary research.
