Aena Khan from College of Medicine students secured the Bronze Award for Best Poster by Trainee at Al Amal Research Day 2026 held at Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital (EHS).

The award-winning poster, titled:
“Perceptions, Attitudes, and Barriers Toward Research Among Medical Students in the UAE: A National Cross-Sectional Study,”
was presented by Aena Khan and Mohammed Atef on behalf of a national collaborative research team.

The study, recently published in Frontiers in Medicine, includes collaborators from MBRU, GMU, University of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah Medical University, and Al Amal Hospital.

This recognition highlights the strength of inter-university collaboration and COM’s commitment to advancing research excellence in the UAE.
