QAIE Department Organizes University-Wide Workshop on QAIE Portal Updates

The Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness (QAIE) Department at Dubai Medical University (DMU) recently organized a university-wide workshop titled “Updates on QAIE Portal”, aimed at enhancing faculty and staff awareness of the latest portal functionalities and supporting the effective use of quality assurance tools across the University.

The workshop was led by Prof. Ibrahim Elsayed, Vice Chancellor of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness, who highlighted the importance of robust quality assurance systems in strengthening academic governance and institutional effectiveness.

The session provided a comprehensive overview of key QAIE Portal modules and processes, including Terms of Reference and Job Descriptions, MOU management and tracking, accreditation status, academic promotion and faculty recruitment applications, mentor–mentee mapping and analytics, college review registration, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and survey reports, student KPI monitoring, the Outcome-Based Framework (OBF) dashboard, faculty profile updates, and procedures for reporting and responding to cases.

Participants were guided through the practical aspects of navigating the portal, understanding reporting mechanisms, and utilizing dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. The workshop also served as an interactive platform for addressing queries and clarifying processes related to quality assurance, accreditation, and institutional reporting.
