In celebration of World Anesthesia Day 2025, Dubai Medical University – College of Medicine hosted a student Poster Competition organized by the Anesthesia Hive Club, promoting academic excellence and awareness in the field of anesthesiology.

DMU 3^rd year pharmacy students Sheikha Shahid, Aarifah Fatimah, and Eman Nadeem took part in this competition and were awarded First Place for their poster titled “Malignant Hyperthermia: Early Recognition & Treatments.”

The event featured Dr. Esam Seddik, Consultant Anesthesiologist at Rashid Hospital, as guest speaker and judge for the poster competition. His insightful contributions highlighted the evolving importance of anesthesia in patient safety and perioperative medicine.
