
Dubai Medical University (DMU), in collaboration with Project You, a social enterprise dedicated to upskilling future generations, successfully hosted “Project Nightingale”, an immersive three-day workshop designed for students from Al Salam Community School.
Held from October 7–9, the program aimed to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance triage systems in emergency departments, empowering students to apply technology and empathy in healthcare innovation.
The workshop was led by DMU alumni Dr. Tasnima Tayb and Dr. Aisha Ismail, alongside Emergency Medicine Hive Co-chairpersons Dr. Shiza Ali and Asiya Mubeen. Over 60 students from Grades 8 and 9 participated in engaging sessions including:
DMU expressed its appreciation to the Simulation Center—led by Prof. Basil and Dr. Marwa—and to Student Affairs for their unwavering support in bringing this initiative to life.
