Biography

Dr Umama Naeem is a dedicated clinical teaching assistant in pediatrics. She is committed in engaging students with hands on teaching strategies including simulation-based learning, practical sessions & bedside instructions. She is certified by Advance HE, in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education. She is also a certified Case Designer, certification provided by the National Institute of Health Specialties. Dr Umama continues to inspire students to excel academically and professionally through her interactive sessions, empowering them to make meaningful contributions to the field of healthcare.

Teaching & Service

• My task involves preparing teaching material & resources for medical students.
• I deliver tutorials & assist in practical sessions arranged for medical students in their first year of the MD Program.

• My task involved preparing summaries, SBAs, flashcards, revision notes & audio podcasts on different topics for candidates preparing for post graduate medical exams.
• Had made 2+ summaries, 18+ SBAs, 4+ EMQs, 7+ flashcards, 2+ revision notes & 2 audio podcasts.

• Gave teaching sessions to junior doctors & detailed case presentations to senior consultants, registrars as well as colleagues.

Education

• Bachelor’s in medicine & bachelor’s in surgery from Dubai Medical College for Girls.
• Internship with Dubai Health
