Dr. Mariam Shadan is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Dubai Medical College for Girls, Dubai Medical University, with over four years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. She holds an MBBS and MD in Pathology from Aligarh Muslim University, India and MSc in Medical Education from the University of Oxford, UK. Dr. Shadan teaches General and Systemic Pathology across undergraduate medical, dental, nursing, and pharmacy programs, emphasizing case-based learning and competency-driven education. As Head of the Curriculum Management Committee and Executive Chief Proctor for NBME IFOM, she has contributed significantly to curriculum integration and assessment. Her research bridges cancer pathology, medical education, and AI-enhanced learning, with 18 indexed publications, over 50 citations, and multiple awards, including the VIVA Young Researcher Award (2023) and the Best Poster Award (University of Oxford, 2023).
Dr. Shadan’s work reflects her commitment to fostering evidence-based teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation in medical education across the Gulf region.
