General Education (GE) at DMU

The General Education (GE) Unit at Dubai Medical University (DMU) provides students with a broad foundation that complements their specialized programs. Through carefully designed courses, GE equips students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to succeed as professionals, leaders, and lifelong learners.

GE enables every DMU graduate to appreciate the social, cultural, ethical, and scientific dimensions of health and disease. It also strengthens key competencies—communication, evidence-based practice and lifelong learning, and professionalism—that are essential for delivering, patient-centered care.
