Structured. Student-led.

The Learning Enhancement and Peer Support (LEAP) Program is a structured, student-led peer tutoring initiative within the College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University. LEAP was created to support academic success, promote meaningful learning strategies, and build a culture of collaborative, ethical peer education across the college.
The program operates under a student governance model, with oversight from a designated Faculty Coordinator who ensures alignment with DMU's academic policies and institutional goals. LEAP is designed to benefit not only the students who receive tutoring, but also the peer tutors themselves — helping them grow into reflective learners, emerging educators, and future healthcare professionals.
"To enhance student learning and academic performance through high-quality, ethical, student-centered peer tutoring — while developing peer tutors into reflective, professionally-minded individuals prepared for their future roles as healthcare leaders."
