Revamping continuous collaboration of Dubai Medical University (DMU) and American Hospital Dubai (AHD)
A productive meeting was held on April 28, 2025, with Dubai Medical University (DMU) and American Hospital Dubai (AHD). Prof. Sherief Khalifa Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Vice Chancellor of Dubai Medical University (DMU), alongside Prof. Mirza Baig, Associate Dean-Clinical Affairs visited AHD and met the key members from American Hospital Dubai (AHD), Dr. Firas Alani, Chairman of Medical Education, Dr. Marwa, Clinical Pharmacist, Ms. Rabiya Ibrahim, Academic Coordinator, and Mr. Mohamed Mosalhy, Academic Coordinator.
Prof. Sherief Khalifa emphasized the importance of strengthening collaborations between DMU and AHD to elevate the pharmacy profession, and he introduced international collaborative programs initiated by DMU, offering certified courses for selected pharmacists all over UAE and extended to AHD pharmacist. Discussions also focused on enhancing the training opportunities for DMU students at AHD and setting clear parameters regarding the number of students accepted for clinical training. Prof. Sherief expressed his deep appreciation for the exceptional quality of training provided by AHD, while Dr. Firas Alani commended Prof. Sherief’s visionary leadership in advancing healthcare education. Both sides agreed to further organize training programs in a more structured and professional manner to benefit both preceptors and students. Prof. Sherief sincerely thanked the AHD team for their warm hospitality and commitment to academic excellence.
