The Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness (QAIE) Department at Dubai Medical University (DMU) recently organized a focused training workshop aimed at introducing the College Operational Plans and Annual Reports applications. The session provided an in-depth overview of the planning and reporting structures, along with a comprehensive demonstration of the tools available through the QAIE Portal.
Prof. Ibrahim Elsayed, Vice Chancellor for Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness, emphasized Portal’s role in streamlining institutional planning and monitoring processes. He elaborated on how operational plans are aligned with DMU’s strategic goals and provided a detailed explanation of college-level projects, highlighting their linkages to strategic plans and the definition of key milestones.
Dr. Eslam El Nebrisi, Director of the QAIE Department, guided participants through the structure of the College Annual Report. The session covered major areas of academic performance and institutional growth, including Quality and Programs, Research, Industry Partnerships, Faculty and Staff, Students, and Learning Resources.
The workshop gathered senior academic leadership from across the university, including the Vice Chancellor, Deans, Associate Deans, Heads of Departments, Program Directors, and Deanship of Student Affairs.
By strengthening academic leaders’ understanding of structured reporting mechanisms and the use of integrated digital tools, this initiative reinforces DMU’s commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and evidence-based decision-making.
