
On May 1st, a group of DMU faculty members holding Advance HE fellow  status participated in the Gulf Fellowship Network Forum 2025: Promoting Excellence  in Higher Education. Advance HE (formerly the Higher Education Academy) is a  UK-based charity and professional membership organization that promotes  excellence in higher education. It advocates for evidence-based teaching  methods and offers fellowships as professional recognition for university  educators. 
The event aimed to unite educators from the Gulf region who are  recognized by the Higher Education Academy, providing a platform to exchange  ideas, share success stories, and celebrate collective achievements. The agenda  covered key topics and current issues in higher education, including teaching  and learning with AI, continuous improvement and feedback, microlearning,  maintaining academic integrity, curricular adaptation, and team-based learning. 
A highlight of the event was the award presentation, where DMU’s College  of Medicine was recognized for its excellence in advancing and supporting  Advance HE fellowship. DMU is proud of its faculty’s accomplishments and  remains committed to supporting educators who seek international recognition  for their teaching practices.
