The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University participated in the Career Day organized by the American International School in Dubai. Representing the college were Prof. Naglaa Shehab, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Yasmeen Yaser, Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Prof. Naglaa delivered an engaging session to students, introducing the new PharmD program and highlighting the evolving career opportunities in the field of pharmacy. She emphasized the vital role pharmacists play today—not only in dispensing medications but also in counseling physicians, optimizing treatment plans, and ensuring patient safety.
Students expressed their appreciation for the insightful presentation, noting how it transformed their perception of pharmacists from simply handing out medications to being key healthcare professionals involved in monitoring therapies, preventing side effects, and improving patient outcomes.
