Dubai Medical University, College of Pharmacy Astropharmacy Research Delegation Explores Space Medicine Collaboration During Official Visit to Burjeel Holdings.

On July 18, a group of undergraduate students from the Astropharmacy Research Team at Dubai Medical University (DMU), College of Pharmacy, under the supervision of Dr. Hanan Anbar, and Dr. Marium Diab visited Burjeel Medical City, Burjeel Torium in Abu Dhabi to explore collaborative opportunities in the emerging field of space pharmacology.

The delegation research team included Ms. Naiba (student team lead), Ms. Tasneem Zarzour, Ms. Nadeen Al Rabee, Ms. Enana Yousef, Ms. Aisha Nasir, and Ms. Mariam Etri on behalf of the whole team.

They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Mohammad Fityan and Dr. Mujtaba Ali-Khan, who shared valuable insights into Burjeel’s pivotal role in the AX-4 mission and the Suite Ride research. The mission successfully concluded with the safe return of all astronauts from the International Space Station on July 15, 2025.

Discussions focused on shared interests in pharmacological research in space, particularly how spaceflight conditions influence drug behaviour, advancing both orbital and terrestrial healthcare outcomes. #Astropharmacy #BurjeelMedicalCity #DubaiMedicalUniversity #uaespaceagency #PharmacyBeyondEarth #SpaceHealth #BurjeelHoldings
