The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University would like to announce that Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, has received a Certificate of Appreciation from the SAMS (Syrian American Medical Association) Pharmacy Assembly in recognition of his contributions to pharmacy education in critical care.
Dr. El Ouweini was honored for delivering a comprehensive series of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) pharmacotherapy lectures, aimed at advancing high-quality, clinically focused pharmacy education. To date, he has delivered seven specialized lectures, covering key topics in critical care pharmacy practice, including acid–base disorders, anticoagulant reversal, fluid stewardship, antimicrobial stewardship, pain–sedation–delirium management, and cardiogenic shock.
These educational activities reflect Dr. El Ouweini’s commitment to translating evidence-based medicine into practical clinical guidance for pharmacists involved in critical care settings. His lectures have been well received by attendees and are made publicly accessible through recorded sessions to further support continuous professional development.
