
Dubai Medical University proudly reaffirms its commitment to empowering students through research, innovation, and global academic engagement.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Ambreen Ansar and supervision of Dr. Shifan Khanday, Year 3 MD students Ms. Rushda Haider and Ms. Nimrah Afaq represented Dubai Medical University (DMU) at the prestigious Advance HE Conference 2025, held from July 1–3, 2025, in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
The students presented their research titled “Understanding the Impact of Research-Based Learning on Sociological Factors in Healthcare”, which was highly appreciated by the international audience for its relevance and depth.
In addition to their academic success, Ms. Haider and Ms. Afaq also volunteered with the Sheffield Hospitals Charity Network, contributing to community healthcare initiatives and embodying DMU’s spirit of service and compassion.
Their participation reflects DMU’s vision of nurturing future doctors who excel not only in clinical expertise but also in research, empathy, and global collaboration.
