
Poster Presentation: “Transforming Clinical Learning through Play: Impact of Games-Based Learning and Gamification on Obstetrics and Gynecology Knowledge, Skills, and Career Choice in Undergraduate Medical Students”
The College of Medicine, Dubai Medical University (DMU) proudly showcased innovative educational research through a poster presentation by Dr. Rawda, Dr. Rawan, and Dr. Ruth at the recent Dubai Health Medical Education Symposium.
Their study, titled “Transforming Clinical Learning through Play”, explored how game-based learning and gamification can revolutionize medical education—enhancing students’ engagement, conceptual understanding, and motivation to pursue careers in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
By integrating playful learning strategies into clinical teaching, the research highlights how immersive educational design can foster deeper knowledge retention and skill acquisition while influencing students’ specialty preferences.
