On 12 February 2026, students from BBMS program in College of Medicine visited the WXH Labs held in Dubai World Trade Centre, the largest trade exhibition in Dubai for healthcare laboratory solutions and advancements. More than 850 exhibitors representing over 180 countries showcased innovative healthcare laboratory solutions at the exhibition. The students were accompanied by Prof. Preetha Shetty (Biomedical Science Program Director & Assistant Vice Chancellor- Academic Affairs, DMU); Dr. Hajer Sheikh (Lecturer in COM) and Ms. El Shimma (Laboratory specialist in COM).

The visit offered students immersive experience into the latest developments in technology and medical laboratory solutions shaping the future of health. The visit provided students with a first-hand perspective on how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing medical diagnostics by improving accuracy and paving the way for predictive and data-driven healthcare solutions.
