The Career Guidance and Alumni Office at the College of Medicine was pleased to host an insightful session titled Exploring General Practice – A Strategic Career Option While Preparing for Residency, delivered by our esteemed DMU COM alumni- Dr. Nafi Samira from cohort 2020. The session focused on highlighting general practice as a valuable and strategic pathway for graduates while they prepare for residency training.
Dr. Nafi shared practical insights on balancing clinical work with residency preparation, offering students a realistic perspective on career planning after graduation. The session was highly engaging and interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and benefiting from real-world experiences shared by her. It also served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen alumni-student engagement, fostering mentorship and encouraging students to learn from those who have successfully navigated similar pathways.
