College of Pharmacy-Dubai Medical University recently organized an inspiring Faculty Research Seminar titled “From Plants to Medicine: How Interdepartmental Collaboration Fuels Research Innovation.” The session was delivered by Prof. Naglaa Gamil Shehab, Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, on Wednesday, 4 February 2026.

The seminar brought together faculty members from diverse academic domains, creating a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange. Prof. Naglaa highlighted the translational journey of plant-based research into clinical applications, emphasizing how collaboration across pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy practice and biomedical research strengthens innovation and accelerates impactful discoveries.

The session served not only as a scientific exchange but also as a call to action—encouraging faculty members to explore new partnerships and leverage collective strengths to drive research excellence.
