Dubai Medical University (DMU) – College of Pharmacy took part in the ICPM (International Conference of Pharmacy & Medicine) Innovation Summit 2026, held from 20–22 January 2026 at Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, under the theme “Building a Culture of Innovation and Technology in Pharma/Healthcare.”

DMU pharmacy faculty contributed to the scientific program with the following presentations:

• Dr. Doaa Alkalidi — Anti-Obesity Medication Use in the General Public: A Growing Challenge in the Community Pharmacy Practice Setting
• Dr. Yasmein Yaser Salem — Advancing Pulmonary Administration Through a Nanocarrier-Based Approach for Improved Respiratory Treatment
• Dr. Rizah Anwar Assadi — Are Pharmacists prepared for Effective Medication Review.

DMU pharmacy students actively participated in scientific and poster competitions, as well as the universities teams competition, showcasing their research skills and innovation. In addition, DMU students played an important role as event organizers, contributing to the successful planning and execution of the summit’s academic and professional activities.
