As part of its ongoing Career Guidance Program, the College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University (DMU) organized a professional development workshop entitled “Building an Impressive CV and an Influential LinkedIn Profile” for pharmacy students across different academic years.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, DMU. The session focused on equipping students with essential skills required to enhance their professional visibility and competitiveness in today’s dynamic healthcare job market.

During the workshop, students were introduced to best practices in CV structuring and content optimization, emphasizing clarity, impact, and adaptability at different career stages. In addition, the session highlighted the strategic use of LinkedIn as a professional networking and personal branding platform, covering topics such as profile optimization, meaningful content creation, consistency of engagement, and professional online presence.

The importance of networking, emotional intelligence, technological awareness, and proactive career planning was also emphasized, encouraging students to take an active role in shaping their professional journeys beyond academic achievements.

The workshop witnessed strong student engagement, with active discussions and practical insights tailored to the evolving expectations of employers and the healthcare sector.
