
The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University conducted a Faculty Development Session titled “New Trends in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery Research” on Thursday, 27 November 2025. The session was delivered by Prof. Rania Mohammed Hathout, Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University.
During the session, Prof. Rania Hathout presented cutting-edge insights into the latest developments in pharmaceutics, innovative drug delivery systems, and the expanding applications of nanotechnology in improving therapeutic outcomes. Drawing on her extensive research portfolio, international awards, and impactful scientific contributions, she offered participants an overview of the advancements shaping the future of pharmaceutical sciences.
Faculty members were actively engaged in discussions on how emerging technologies can be integrated into pharmaceutical research and education. Following the session, a focused meeting with the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department provided an opportunity for in-depth exchange on shared research interests and potential collaborative projects.
