
Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs and Dean College of Pharmacy, Professor Sherief Khalifa along with Dr. Bassam Atallah, Associate Dean- Clinical Affairs, participated as panelists at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Pharmacy Conference, held on November 22–23 at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
The panel brought together prominent leaders in pharmacy education across the UAE to discuss the evolving landscape of pharmacy education and practice. During the session, participants underscored the critical importance of bridging academic preparation with real-world clinical practice, noting that each domain has the potential to significantly enhance and inform the other. Strengthening this alignment, they emphasized, is key to advancing pharmacy practice and improving patient care outcomes nationwide.
The event was also attended by DMU Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students completing clinical rotations at CCAD, who not only benefited from exposure to leading professionals in the field but also contributed to the conference by serving as volunteers and supporting organizational activities.The two-day conference highlighted ongoing efforts to elevate pharmacy practice in the UAE and foster stronger collaboration between educational institutions and healthcare providers.
