Dubai Medical University’s (DMU) Integrative Medicine Society (IMS) students won first place in “The Best Digital Marketing Competition” during the 12th Volatile Oil Gallery held at the Pharmacognosy department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, Cairo.
Competing against teams from ten leading universities across Egypt, the DMU students showcased an innovative AI-powered marketing campaign promoting two student-developed herbal products, EaseHer™ and NeuraBoost, both conceptualized and formulated at DMU under the supervision of Dr. Naglaa Saad Ashmawy (IMS Academic Supervisor) and Eng. Hessa Lootah (IMS AI & Innovation Supervisor).
EaseHer™ is a natural aromatherapy blend designed to relieve menstrual discomfort using lavender, clary sage, marjoram, and peppermint essential oils, while NeuraBoost is a volatile oil-based focus mist made with rosemary, peppermint, and lemon essential oils to enhance concentration and counter “AI brain fog.”
The Volatile Oil Gallery is an annual scientific event organized by its Board under the supervision of Prof. Omayma Eldahshan, Founder and Head of the Pharmacognosy Department at Ain Shams University, provided a platform for showcasing student innovation and excellence in natural product research and marketing.
This achievement coincides with the official launch of the Integrative Medicine Society (IMS) at DMU, which unites students from all three colleges to explore the intersection of traditional medicine, modern medicine, sustainability, and AI.
With over 200 active members, IMS aims to deepen understanding of herbal and complementary medicine, including acupuncture, homeopathy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), within a framework of scientific research and digital innovation.
“The Integrative Medicine Society reflects our students’ commitment to innovation and holistic healthcare,” commented Dr. Naglaa Saad, Integrative Medicine Department Head. “Winning first place in an international competition so soon after the society’s launch is a testament to our students’ creativity, collaboration, and scientific excellence.” added Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
