The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at Dubai Medical University, the first PharmD program in the UAE, spans six years with 217 credit hours. It combines foundational sciences, pharmaceutical studies, professional skills, and experiential practice. The program is internationally pre-accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA.

PharmD Program Exit Options:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm): after 4.5 years (160 CH)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD): after 6 years (217 CH)

PharmD Program Entry Pathways:

• Year 1: Standard entry into the full 6-year PharmD program.
• Year 5: Graduate-entry pathway for eligible BPharm graduates to join the 2-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Post-Bachelor) program.

Alignment with the 2024 QFEmirates:

• PharmD – Direct Entry: 6 years, Level 7
• BPharm – Exit Award: 4.5 years, Level 6
• Post-Bachelor PharmD: 2 years, Level 7
