Dubai Medical University College of Pharmacy Students Complete Regulatory Affairs Internship with Abbott

DMU College of Pharmacy, continues to provide its students with meaningful opportunities to connect academic learning with professional practice.

This summer, the College partnered with Abbott, a global healthcare company, to offer a Regulatory Affairs Internship Program. Following a competitive selection process, two students, Joud Hourani and Enji Mohamed, successfully joined Abbott’s Regulatory Affairs Department for a one-month internship.

Joud Hourani shared:
“My internship at Abbott was an enriching experience where I had the chance to learn, contribute, and grow in a real-world environment. I am grateful to the Abbott team for their support and to my college for encouraging us to take part in such opportunities.”

Enji Mohamed reflected:
“This internship bridged my pharmacy studies with regulatory practice. I worked on product renewals and variations across the GEM and Levant regions, gaining practical experience in dossier preparation, compliance checks, and cross-functional collaboration. It highlighted the importance of precision and attention to detail in ensuring medicines remain safe and effective.”

The College of Pharmacy acknowledges Abbott for supporting student learning and for contributing to the professional growth of future healthcare leaders.
