
The Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness (QAIE)  Department at Dubai Medical University (DMU) recently organized a focused  training workshop aimed at introducing the College Operational Plans and  Annual Reports applications. The session provided an in-depth overview of  the planning and reporting structures, along with a comprehensive demonstration  of the tools available through the QAIE Portal.
Prof. Ibrahim Elsayed, Vice Chancellor  for Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness, emphasized Portal’s role  in streamlining institutional planning and monitoring processes. He elaborated  on how operational plans are aligned with DMU’s strategic goals and provided a  detailed explanation of college-level projects, highlighting their linkages to  strategic plans and the definition of key milestones.
Dr. Eslam El Nebrisi, Director of the  QAIE Department, guided participants through the structure of the College  Annual Report. The session covered major areas of academic performance and  institutional growth, including Quality and Programs, Research, Industry  Partnerships, Faculty and Staff, Students, and Learning Resources.
The workshop gathered senior academic leadership from across the  university, including the Vice Chancellor, Deans, Associate Deans, Heads of  Departments, Program Directors, and Deanship of Student Affairs.
By strengthening academic leaders’ understanding of structured  reporting mechanisms and the use of integrated digital tools, this initiative  reinforces DMU’s commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and  evidence-based decision-making.
