College of Medicine Students Present Cancer Research on Precision Oncology at Manipal University

Three medical students from Dubai Medical University (DMU) — Deniz Saeed, Yumna Beltagui, and Rashid Shamil — presented their research poster titled "Unlocking Precision Oncology: The Role of Neoantigen-Based Cancer Vaccines" at Manipal University on 24th April 2025.

Supervised by Dr. Mohamed Hussein and Dr. Maha Ayman, the presentation highlighted DMU’s commitment to advancing cancer research and fostering interdisciplinary academic collaboration. The session allowed students to engage in meaningful discussions on cutting-edge approaches to personalized cancer therapy and neoantigen vaccine development.

The experience significantly strengthened their research communication and public speaking skills, while feedback from fellow students and faculty expanded their understanding of the challenges and opportunities in precision oncology.

This academic engagement reflects DMU’s focus on cultivating research excellence and empowering students to contribute to the global scientific community.
