Dubai Medical University (DMU) continues to lead transformative advancements in medical education through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within a robust Interprofessional Education (IPE) framework.

Dubai Medical University has embedded AI-powered learning tools into a structured interprofessional model where medical, pharmacy, and nursing students learn with, from, and about one another. This approach ensures that technological advancement is complemented by meaningful collaboration across healthcare disciplines.

Through AI-driven clinical simulations and team-based training exercises, students engage in realistic, data-informed clinical scenarios that enhance diagnostic reasoning, therapeutic decision-making, and patient management skills. Pharmacy students, in particular, benefit from exposure to interdisciplinary case discussions that strengthen their role in medication therapy management, safety optimization, and collaborative care planning.

The integration of AI-enhanced simulations supports the development of critical thinking, effective communication, and coordinated clinical practice — competencies essential for delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.

This milestone project was successfully implemented through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Naglaa Saad Ashmawy and Eng. Hessa Lootah, whose leadership and commitment were instrumental in bringing the initiative to life for the DMU community.
