Operating under the Saeed Ahmed Lootah Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization, DMU holds the distinction of being the first medical college for girls and first pharmacy college for girls in the UAE, established in 1986 and 1992 respectively under the visionary leadership of the late Haji Saeed Lootah. Today, the University stands as a proud reflection of his legacy, an institution built on collaboration, academic excellence, and an unwavering commitment to advancing medical education.

DMU is home to College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, and College of Nursing, each dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of education, clinical training, and patient-centered care. As we continue to grow, we plan to introduce new colleges and programs, creating a fully integrated academic health ecosystem where doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals learn and work together to improve patient outcomes.
