Dubai Medical University (DMU) – College of Pharmacy proudly announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Clinical Pharmacy Society (ECPS) during a formal ceremony held at the Dubai Medical University campus. This milestone agreement marks a significant step forward in strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and professional societies to advance clinical pharmacy education, training, and practice across the United Arab Emirates.

The MoU builds on the momentum generated during the recent visit of the ECPS Board Team to DMU College of Pharmacy, during which both parties engaged in productive discussions around shared goals, national priorities, and long-term collaboration. The formal signing reflects a shared commitment to fostering excellence in pharmacy education, professional development, research, and community engagement.

The Emirates Clinical Pharmacy Society, a newly established national professional society under the umbrella of the Emirates Medical Association, aims to empower clinical pharmacists, support continuing professional education, and enhance patient care outcomes through evidence-based initiatives and strategic partnerships. DMU College of Pharmacy shares this vision and recognizes the importance of strong academic–professional linkages in shaping the future of healthcare in the UAE.

Through this MoU, DMU College of Pharmacy and ECPS will collaborate across several key areas, including joint educational and training activities, clinical placement opportunities, collaborative research and publications, student leadership and professional engagement, and the co-organization and endorsement of scientific events and conferences. The agreement also opens avenues for faculty development initiatives and active participation of DMU faculty and students in ECPS committees and national projects.
