As part of its ongoing commitment to health education and community well-being, Dubai Medical University (DMU) organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Session with Survivor Talk at The Islamic School.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer among students and staff, promote the importance of early detection, and provide emotional support through sharing a real-life survivor’s journey.

Participants gained valuable insights into recognizing early signs of breast cancer, understanding the significance of regular medical check-ups, and fostering a supportive community mindset toward those affected.

A highlight of the session was the inspiring talk by Ms. Lamiya Ali, a breast cancer survivor, whose story of strength and resilience encouraged empathy, hope, and proactive health behavior within the DMU community.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Session reflected DMU’s dedication to health promotion, preventive education, and community engagement as integral parts of medical training.
