Dubai Medical University (DMU) proudly congratulates Mahra Al Hosani, a second-year College of Medicine student, for being selected as one of the 12 finalists at the prestigious Create Apps in Dubai Championship held on 16th April 2025.

Sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed Al Maktoum and organized by Dubai Chambers, the championship attracted over 4,700 international applicants and aimed to promote AI development across the region. Key figures, including His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence, supported the initiative.

Mahra presented her startup, Pharmedic — an Emirati-led AI-integrated healthcare information exchange software — showcasing DMU’s leadership in healthcare innovation and digital transformation. Her achievement significantly elevated the visibility of DMU students in both healthcare and AI technology sectors, reinforcing the university’s commitment to nurturing future innovators.
