The College of Nursing at Dubai Medical University (DMU) proudly participated in the SANID Program, a national volunteer initiative dedicated to training individuals to effectively respond to disasters and emergencies across the UAE.
Held from June 2nd to 4th, 2025 at the DMU Building (Second Floor, Rooms 207 & 208), the program brought together nursing students and faculty members for three days of intensive training that combined lecture-based instruction with hands-on practical sessions.
The training covered a wide range of essential emergency preparedness and response skills, including:
A highlight of the program was a comprehensive emergency simulation exercise, where participants applied all the skills learned in a realistic, scenario-based environment, enhancing their confidence and readiness to respond to public emergencies.
Through this initiative, the College of Nursing reaffirmed its commitment to preparing students as skilled, resilient, and community-focused healthcare professionals who are ready to serve in times of crisis.
