Prof. Dr. Fahad Saqib Lodhi, PhD, MPH, MBBS, is a distinguished epidemiologist and public health leader with over 20 years of experience in clinical and community health. Currently serving as Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Health and Behavioral Sciences at Dubai Medical University, UAE (since August 2023), he drives innovative curricula, research, and community outreach focused on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), mental health, and health equity in conflict-affected regions. Previously, he held professorial roles at Women Medical and Dental College, Abbottabad, Pakistan (2020–2023), and contributed as a Public Health Specialist in Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health (2016–2020), where he supervised postgraduate training and community interventions.
Dr. Lodhi’s PhD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (2018) emphasized epidemiology and biostatistics, building on his MPH (2009) and MBBS (2004) from Pakistan. A prolific researcher, he has authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications, exploring quality of life, COVID-19 impacts, and psychosocial factors in vulnerable populations. His work integrates behavioral theories with data-driven advocacy, particularly for marginalized groups like refugees and low-SES communities. Committed to mentorship, he has supervised numerous theses and edited journals like the Journal of Women Medical & Dental College. Dr. Lodhi’s expertise bridges academia, policy, and practice, advancing NCD prevention in the MENA region.
