Dr. Mohamed Hussein is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, Dubai Medical University, United Arab Emirates. He earned his B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Mansoura University, Egypt, and subsequently joined the MERC Center at the same university, where he completed his M.Sc. in Biochemistry in 2013. He then joined the Genetics Unit at Mansoura University, where he completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2017, with a research focus on apoptosis in hepatitis C virus (HCV)-infected Egyptian patients. Dr. Hussein holds a PhD equivalent in Biochemistry from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and is currently pursuing a master’s in health professional medical education (MHPE) at Dubai Medical University, reflecting his commitment to integrating scientific inquiry with modern pedagogical approaches in medical education. Dr. Hussein is also an active member of several distinguished professional societies, including the British Society of Biochemistry and the Egyptian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
