Admission Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Admission Requirements


A. Key details:

1. General Admission Requirements:

  • High school certificate/Bachelor degree certificate.
  • Equivalency certificates for non-UAE High school systems.
  • Islamic and Arabic studies result for non-UAE High school systems (if applicable).
  • Passing College Set interview/Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) is required.
  • Submission of required documentation (section D), including attested certificates.

2.Language and Other Requirements

  • High School English 80% or its equivalent.
  • In curriculums where English is the medium of study, students are exempted from providing English proficiency scores.
  • Passing placement test for students not meeting required grades.
  • Remedial courses for students not meeting required grades (BSN and BPharm).
B. Admission Criteria by Program for the MOE Curriculum
Program Stream Grade Requirements
MD (6-Year) Elite / Advanced / ATHS 90% in Math & 90% in two of the following subjects: Biology / Chemistry / Physics
BPharm Elite / Advanced / ATHS 80% in Math & 80% in two of the following subjects: Biology / Chemistry / Physics
BSN Elite / Advanced / General / ATHS Elite: 60%, Advanced: 65%, ATHS: 65%, General: 70% (with at least two science subjects)
C. Admission Criteria by Program for all other Curriculums
The British Curriculum:
  • D/4 in five O-Levels (two science subjects) and two AS-Level, or one A-Level
The American Curriculum:
  • Minimum average of 60% or CGPA 2.0
The International Baccalaureate Curriculum (IB Diploma):
  • IB Diploma
  • IB Subject Certificate 21 points in 6 subjects (min grade 3 each)

 

Indian Curriculum:
  • Minimum average of 55% in grade 12
Pakistani Federal Board:
  • Minimum average of 55% in grade 12
Additional Information for Other Curriculums and Secondary School Qualifications Obtained Outside UAE:

Applicants from other curriculums in the UAE and with high school certificates obtained outside the UAE; are required to submit an Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Education Services (WES) course-by- course evaluation when applying to evaluate the transcripts and have a standard GPA – this can be obtained from: http://www.ece.org or https://www.wes.org/

  • The applicant should be a graduate from a school recognized by the official education authority in the country of study.
  • Must meet the requirements for admission into university in the country of origin.
  • Certificates submitted need to be attested from:
    • Education Authority (Home Country)
    • Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Home Country).
    • Embassy of the United Arab Emirates or the Embassy of the Country in the UAE
    • Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates
  • Applicants must submit Equivalency Certificate from Ministry of Education in UAE https://www.moe.gov.ae/en/eservices/servicecard/pages/certequivalent-out.aspx
UNIVERSITY / COLLEGE STUDENTS:

Applicants who are currently enrolled / withdrawn from another University / College should meet all published admission entry requirements.

Additional Notes:
  • Equivalency Certificates: Required for all non-UAE high school systems.
  • Conditional Admission: Granted to students with pending equivalency certificates.
  • Remedial Courses: Available for students who do not meet minimum requirements in English, Math, or Science.

Required Documents

Applicants must complete the online application form before submitting the following documents. The original certificates must be brought in person by the applicant at the time of the interview:

  • Attested High School / BPharm degree.
  • Grade 10 and 11 certificates
  • Transcripts for Postgraduate applicants
  • Passport size photographs
  • Birth certificate
  • Character certificate from the institution last attended
  • Copy of the passport and resident visa (for expatriate students only)
  • Medical certificate
  • Required result of TOEFL/IELTS/English Score as prescribed by the MoHESR
  • Copy of UAE National ID
  • Ethbara and Family Book (for UAE Nationals)

  • Ensure to pay the application fee as soon as you submit the application as unpaid applications will not be considered. The application fee is AED 1,000 + AED 50 (5% VAT). This fee is non-refundable. Keep receipt to upload it to application and send the same by email to Accounts@dmcg.edu
  • Follow the specific guides carefully in filling the box in the fields where the guides are provided
  • Have the following documents scanned in clear color and ready to upload in PDF format:
    • Recent Personal Colored Photo (with white background in high- resolution Jpeg format; passport size)
    • Valid colored Passport Copy
    • Ethbara Page (For UAE Nationals)
    • Police Clearance from UAE for those residing in UAE or Police Clearance certificate from country of residence for international applicants. For UAE certificate this can be obtained from moi.gov.ae/en/eservices/issuance.clearcriminalrecord.certificate.348.aspx
    • One Recommendation Letter for Four-Year MD Program
    • Emirates ID Card – front (if applicable)
    • Emirates ID Card – back (if applicable)
    • Family Book (UAE Nationals only) / Mother’s Family Book (For UAE Nationals)
    • Grade 10 Transcript / IGCSE certificates
    • Grade 11 Transcript / AS Level certificate
    • Final High School Transcript / A Level certificate (if available)
    • Latest University Transcript (if applicable)
    • Equivalency/Recognition certificate (if available)

  • You will receive an application number when you create a login account. Please record your application number and use it in all communication with the DMU – College of Medicine admissions team as it is the unique identifier for you.
  • Please make sure that you apply and submit all required documents before the published deadline as late applications will not be considered.
  • All screened in applicants will be notified by email to attend the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI). Those who are required to attend the Placement exam will also be notified.
  • The MMI and Placement exam will be held on campus
  • For international students outside UAE they will be given the opportunity to complete them online.
  • Applicants from non-government UAE secondary schools or degrees completed outside UAE will be required to submit an equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates.
  • International students outside the UAE can request to take the Multiple Mini Interview and Placement Exam online. Please contact admission@dmcg.edu if you need to take the MMI or Placement exam online.

Placement Exam & Interview

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) exam is a multiple-choice examination designed to assess your knowledge and understanding of the key concepts of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics as a prerequisite to the study of medicine.

Application Fee

Tuition Fee

Tuition fees for the Academic Year 2025-2026 is:

  • Annual Tuition Fees: AED 42,000/- (including 5% VAT)
  • Discounts:
  • 1st Year – 25% of the tuition fee AED 31,500/- (including 5% VAT)
  • 2nd Year – 15% of the tuition fee AED 35,700/- (including 5% VAT)
  • 3rd Year – AED 42,000/- (including 5% VAT)
  • 4th Year – AED 42,000/- (including 5% VAT)

Hostel Fees

  • Single Room: 15,000 AED.
  • Double Room: 12,000 AED.
  • Deluxe Room: 18,000 AED.

Transportation Fees

  • Ranges from 3000 AED to 5000 AED depending on location.

Payment Option

Fees can be paid in cash or by bank transfer and please ensure to mention your application number when making the payment at the college or on payment receipt.

Refund Policy of Tuition Fees:

Tuition fees paid are in general non-refundable unless a valid reason is provided for cancellation of admission.

The valid reasons can be: –

  • If a student is not granted a UAE Visa.
  • If the parent / guardian of the student faces sudden employment termination or visa cancellation.
  • If a candidate is granted a scholarship after the payment of Tuition fee.
  • If travel restrictions are enforced (Example during COVID pandemic).
  • If progression / resit results are delayed.
  • Other serious non-controlled reasons subject to review and approval by a task force to be formed as needed.

 

The refund is usually granted to a student until the end of the 2nd week after the beginning of a new academic year or semester..

Refund requests should be made at the Registration Office through a written request along with the original fee receipt. Refunds will be made after clearance of dues, if any. The refund policy applicable is as follows:

1. If student withdraws before beginning of Academic Year or during the first 10 working days of the academic year or semester: 5% (applicable only on full tuition fees i.e., 2400 AED for BSN program is deducted and remaining is refunded.
2. If a student withdraws after 10 up to 30 working days of the Academic Year: 25% (applicable only on full tuition fees i.e., 12,600 AED for BSN Program) is deducted and remaining is refunded.
3. If a student withdraws after 30 working days, there is no refund.
4. Hostel and Transportation fees are refunded based on pro-rata on a full monthly basis, not per day. (Month fraction is considered as a full month).
5. Refunds will be processed through Cheque only to the same payer (student’s parent / guardian / sponsor).

The following are non-refundable:

  • Application fee and Seat reservation fee
  • Full tuition fee in case of dismissal for disciplinary reasons

 

Tuition Fee Installments

  • All students are expected to pay the annual tuition fees as per published dates set by the Accounts Department.
  • Tuition fees can be paid in full amount or in a maximum of four installments (two per semester). For installments, post-dated Cheques are required to be submitted.
  • Student or Parent can request to pay the amount with an installment plan to be approved by the Finance Manager.
